Why I migrated my entire stack to Framer
After years of wrestling with WordPress and fighting Webflow's class system, I finally found a platform that keeps up with my ideas.
For years, I was stuck in the Website Builder Triangle of Good, Fast, and Cheap. Pick two. WordPress was cheap and good, but incredibly slow to set up and maintain. Webflow was good and fast(ish), but the class-based CSS system meant I spent half my time renaming divs instead of designing. I wanted a tool that felt like Figma but published to the web natively.

The friction tax
As a creator, every minute spent wrestling with a CMS or debugging a plugin update is a minute taken away from writing or building. I call this the "friction tax." I was paying a massive friction tax. Every time I wanted to publish a quick essay, I had to format it in WordPress, fight the block editor, ensure the caching plugin wasn't breaking the layout, and pray the server didn't time out.

The Framer shift
Then I found Framer. The moment I realized I could design a responsive navbar, wire up a CMS collection, and publish to a global CDN in under an hour, I was sold. The biggest unlock for me was the component system. In Framer, I design a "Blog Card" once, set up my CMS variables (Title, Excerpt, Date), and let the system do the rest. If I want to change the font size later, I change it on the main component, and it updates everywhere. No CSS classes to track down. Tools should disappear. They should get out of the way and let you execute your vision. Framer is the first web tool that has truly gotten out of my way.
